I didn’t set out to explain her… I set out to witness her. As I worked, I saw a figure that felt larger than music, larger than image. something almost ancestral in presence. Around her, worlds were forming and reforming, as if culture itself was being held in her hands. I saw power, softness, discipline, and divinity all existing in the same breath. It made me think about how influence travels, how it moves through generations, through sound, through the body, through spirit. In that moment I wasn’t just painting a woman… I was painting the weight of what she represents to so many people across the world. And I realized, some figures don’t belong to one place.they belong to the echo they leave behind.
